Preparing a gluten-free brownie is becoming easier, faster and, above all, delicious; so we decided to share with you a couple of finger licking recipes. Both preparations will only take you 25-30 minutes, so you will definitely have an option when you want to enjoy a good dessert in no time.

It should be noted that the star ingredient will be unsweetened dark chocolate. However, don’t worry because your brownies won’t taste bad or sugar free. On the contrary, we will  use other ingredients to add the sweet touch, but without overdoing it. We have to remember that milk chocolate is not the only option to prepare a good brownie.

Regarding the use of nuts and other nuts, these are always recommended in the preparation of all types of brownies. The ideal amount will always be a quarter in relation to the total amount of flour used. In this way we will make the fruits stand out a little from the dough and not only bring flavor, but also “decorate” the dessert.

Gluten Free Brownie, The Classic Recipe

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar (200 g)
  • 1/4 vanilla beans
  • 1/2 spoon of salt (2.5 g)
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 butter bars (150 g)
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (50 g)
  • 3 scoops of cocoa powder (45 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda (9 g)
  • 1 tablet of dark chocolate for dessert, without sugar (150 g)
  • 1 cup gluten-free confectionery rice flour (200 g)

Method of preparation

  1. First, preheat the oven to 170°C.
  2. Put the butter bars to melt in a Maria bath.
  3. Chop the chocolate as much as possible and add it to the buttered pan. Once all the dark chocolate pieces have melted, add the cocoa  powder.
  4. Stir so that the three ingredients mix well and add the sugar little by little.
  5. Also, break the eggs into a bowl and start beating them with a fork. Then add the eggs in the mixture you prepared previously and the vanilla beans.
  6. After stirring for a few seconds with involving movements, add the flour, salt and baking soda.
  7. Grease a baking pan with a little vegetable oil,  pour the batter into brownies, add the walnuts and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Once our classic gluten free brownie is ready, let it cool at room temperature for 5 minutes and then we can cut it into small pieces.

Gluten-free brownie, the banana alternative

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tablet of unsweetened dark chocolate (150 g)
  • 1 package of bakery yeast (7 g)
  • 2 spoons of cassava flour (30 g)
  • 1 or 2 spoons of honey (25 or 50 g)
  • Optional: cinnamon powder

Method of preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 ºC.
  2. Peel and chop the bananas. Then start processing the pulp with the help of a hand mixer.
  3. Aside, chop the dark chocolate as much as possible and process it along with the banana pulp and honey.
  4. Break the eggs and add them to the mixture. Beat and add, little by little, the flour. The result should be a thick mass with small dark pieces.
  5. Place the mixture in a saucepan over medium heat and then add the yeast. Mix with slow, immersive movements. If desired, you can add a spoonful of powdered cinnamon. After a few minutes of cooking you will notice how the small dark pieces melt together and the dough starts to look more and more homogeneous.
  6. Once the dough acquires the desired thickness and texture, pour it into the brownie molds and  bake them for 15 minutes at 200 ºC. It is worth noting that we can add some banana slices, in a decorative way, when pouring the dough into the molds.

In conclusion, there is no longer any excuse to miss all the wonders that gastronomy has to offer, especially with regard to confectionery.
