Dried fruit recipes are pleasures that we can enjoy whenever we want. These dishes are often reserved for special occasions as they look refined and succulent. However, it is good to save them less for the festivities and incorporate them more often in our daily diet.

So  everyone can eat them with peace of mind.

Turkey breast and apple salad with dried fruit

Dried Fruit for Recipes

Ingredients (for 2 or 3 people)

  • 1 packet of spinach (500 g)
  • 2 red apples
  • 1 cup of mixed dried fruit (150 g)
  • 1/2 cup of goat cheese (50 g)
  • 1 cup of turkey breast (150 g)
  • Seasonings: sweet mustard, black pepper, salt, olive oil.

Method of preparation

  1. First, wash and drain the spinach thoroughly. Then put them in a salad bowl and set aside.
  2. Afterwards, chop the apples into juliennes (without removing the skin).
  3. Also, prepare the vinaigrette with sweet mustard, olive oil, salt and black pepper. Mix all ingredients well with a spoon and set aside.
  4. On the other hand, cut the turkey breast into small cubes and spread them over the spinach.
  5. Also, cut the goat cheese into more or less thin slices  and add it to the spinach.
  6. Finally, pour the vinaigrette on top and stir to mix all the ingredients. And ready!

Dried Fruit Recipes: Couscous with Dried Fruit and Red Onion

Ingredients (for 2 or 3 people)

  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 red onion
  • Condiments: sea salt
  • 2 cups of couscous (200 g)
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 2 spoons of raisins (30 g)
  • 1 red and 1 green pepper
  • 2 glasses of vegetable or chicken broth (400 ml)
  • Optional: three peppers, curry, dates, dried peach, sesame seeds
  • Mixed dry fruits: almonds, peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts

Method of preparation

  1. First, put the chicken stock in a pan and start heating it over medium heat. Once it starts to boil, add the couscous and a tablespoon of olive oil. Stir a couple of times with slow movements and let it all settle until the couscous starts to absorb the broth. We have to remember that the ideal amount of broth should always be, for each cup of couscous, two cups of broth.
  2. Also, once you’re done, turn off the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Meanwhile, wash and peel the zucchinis. Then start cutting them into small cubes. Do the same with the onion and peppers.
  4. On the other hand, heat a skillet over high heat, add a jet of olive oil and then add all the diced vegetables to sauté them.
  5. Once the onion is well browned, spread a little sea salt and nuts over all the vegetables and after about 2 or 3 minutes, reduce the heat to minimum. Let everything cook in its own juice for 1 minute and turn off  the heat.
  6. Also, place the couscous in a glass bowl and add the dried fruit and vegetable mixture. Then, stir everything with a spoon to get all the ingredients well mixed.
  7. Finally, spread the raisins on top and serve.

Ingredients (for 2 people)

  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • 3 green zucchini
  • 1 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (250 g)
  • 1 cup of sliced ​​almonds (150 g)
  • Condiments: salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper

Method of preparation

  1. First, peel and wash the zucchinis. Then start chopping each one into blades.
  2. Also, cut the Parmesan cheese in the same way (you can also grate it).
  3. On the other hand, in a small container, mix the lemon juice with the spices.
  4. Later, place the zucchini slices in a salad bowl and place a slice of parmesan cheese on top of each, along with a small amount of sliced almonds .
  5. Finally, bathe everything in lemon juice and spices. Serve at the moment and go!
